Origin Story
Many of you may know Penni Parker from the popular Marvel animated film "Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse" made in 2018 or the popular video game known as Marvel Rivals which was released December 6, 2024, but she was actually introduced a lot earlier then her mainstream appearances. In a universe where spiders are more than just insects, Edge of the Spider-Verse (2014) #5 introduces us to one of the most unique and compelling characters in the Spider-Verse — Penni Parker. If you’re a fan of the web-slinging, multi-dimensional adventures that define the Spider-Verse, this issue will change everything you thought you knew about your favorite heroes. But who exactly is Penni Parker, and why is she so crucial to the Spider-Verse? Let’s break it down!
